A thought is the very first seed planted in creation. once watered, it flowers into words, stanzas, books, paintings, music, dance, all different blooms of expression. In its own right; poetry. A state of being in flow. My Inside Thoughts Are Poetry is a statement that signifies living in purpose.
Mission
To push forward the culture of reading and writing in a progressive light providing services and resources that assist black and brown creatives with their growth and desired publication of original work. Akiena’s mission is to also integrate her works as a poet and her passion for acting by publishing and starring in her own poetry short films. Stay Tuned….
Impact
Founded by Akiena in 2018, Our focus is rooted in community and providing services for Writer’s. 50% of proceeds received from online purchases of items in our bookshop will be donated to our community to help provide supplies such as notebooks, bookmarks, agenda’s and free publishing courses + Writing Workshops. Our goal is to grant as much support as we can for our collective flower-field to bloom.
Making an online purchase will additionally allow us to donate a % of proceeds to Non-profit Organizations that contribute to providing resources to Haiti.
